Everything here's free to use. You may use the tools for any purpose, personal or commercial, without asking.

The writing, diagrams, code and tools on this site are the work of their author and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to quote a paragraph with a link back, print pages for your own use, and use the calculator outputs in your own projects. You may not republish whole guides, mirror the tools, or feed the site to a scraper for reuse.
No warranty
The calculators and guides are provided as-is. They have been checked carefully, but a fret slot cut in the wrong place is your wood, not ours. Measure twice, and verify any critical dimension independently before you cut.
Workshop safety. Building an instrument involves routers, saws and chemicals that can injure you permanently. Nothing here's a substitute for proper training, guarding, extraction and eye protection. You are responsible for your own safety.
